Why I love Summer Family Portrait Sessions

 Summer in Texas is HOT! But don't let the heat scare you off because summer is a fantastic time of year to update your family portrait. Here is why I love summer portrait sessions. 

1 - Water!!!! Holding your portrait sessions and playing in the water is fun for all, even me! 

2- Creek!! Which is goes hand in hand with water sometimes, but my favorite park has a creek and it is so gorgeous in the summer! Get those kids playing in the creek, let them explore I just love it

3- Mermaids... do I need to say more??

4- Summer FOODS!! Watermelon sessions, Ice cream, or even Ice cream truck sessions, lemonade. All very photogenic! Summer themes are a lot of fun.

5- Forth of July... FIREWORKS! YESSSS!!! ( I add this with my mad photoshop skills )

6- summer dresses.  Summer dresses, shorts, sandals, big sun hats. 

7- Later sunsets. This is nice for my clients because its super easy for them to schedule a portrait session around work, unlike the fall when the sunsets by 5

8- NO SCHOOL! Kids are sooo relaxed and just happy in the summer. They are well rested and not exhausted from school and I notice a ton of smiles and less complaining.

9. The LIGHT! I don't know what it is about the light in the summer but it has a little bit of magic to it

10. You are a rockstar! When you schedule your portrait session in the summer you ahead of the game! You will have your family portraits done and ready for your Holiday Cards and even Christmas gifts... winning!
